The Quiksash kit is a complete opening replacement that includes the upper and lower sash with a new set of vinyl compression jamb liners. However, our Quiksash double-hung replacement kits are a perfect match for either the Guardian or Classic double-hung models. More specifically, individual replacement sashes for these double-hung models are not available. Caradco Guardian and Classic Double Hung (1980s-1990s)įenster does not produce a direct matching replacement for either model. The old boots are replaced by glazing sealant and an interior trim stop that is nothing more than a subtle detail change to the interior side of the unit. New Fenster reproductions use the more modern “wet glazed” method of sealing the glass unit into the sash frame. Glazing boots are now obsolete in the industry and are no longer available.
